WestCoastrydaz: Rydaz on the Rise

Much like our site motta states – “Your Source For All Things WestCoast” – WestCoastRydaz has always tried to keep its ears to the streets and showcase the constantly changing face of California rap and Hip-Hop.

Back in the beginning of this new millennium, we were often the first outlet to cover many of the current new faces of top-level Cali talent, when most others cared more about the celebrity names of 1990’s rap, not the up and comers.

From Roccett, Glasses Malone, Jay Rock, Bishop Lamont, Problem, Bangloose, Ya Boy, Mistah Fab, X.O (Scipio) and countless others, many got some of their first interviews and features on WCR. Whether through video interviews, fan interaction on our forum, or collaborative mixtapes presented by the site, we worked diligently with those artists to help establish a buzz. Since then, that new wave of West Coast talent has worked its way up the ranks and achieved more mainstream exposure.

Given that history of helping break new artists, we’ve opened this new section of WCR called “Rydaz on the Rise” to showcase the next group of rising West Coast rappers and singers.
